Pick Up Expired Domain Names with FreshDrop.net
When a domain expires, it can be very profitable for someone who happens to pick it up and register it. Domains that already rank well in the search engines and carry a PR can be a great way to get some free traffic (minus the cost of the domain) without doing much marketing of your own.
“Domaining”, as it’s often referred to is the buying and selling of domains for financial gain and business purposes. While buying expired domains may not be a good idea for branding your new business or starting a blog on, it can be great for niche websites, or BANS sites that rely on search engine optimization.
This is where FreshDrop.net comes in. The site lists recently expired domains along with certain data, such as PR, how old the domain is, whether it’s listed in the Dmoz directory or not and the number of results already indexed in Google.
I came across this site last week and made my first domain purchase from it yesterday for a site I plan on reselling in a couple weeks. It’s definitely a tool you want to take a look at if you want some hassle free traffic by forwarding an established domain to your main website, or simply by reselling the domain after putting up a quick site behind it. Either way, it’s a win-win!
