Schwag Returns
For those of you that remember ValleySchwag, the San Francisco company that would send out random promotional items of new startup companies to its subscribers, there’s now a new schwag giver on the web. Startup Schwag launched this month and promises to provide the same type of service ValleySchwag did, before it abandoned its operations in April 2007. So far the company says it will start off with t-shirts, but may move into sending out other items, stickers, random chochkis etc. This fun service accepts PayPal subscriptions from its customers (only $14.95 plus shipping) and sends out random “schwag” every month. As long as you sign up before the 25th of the month, you’ll get your items in time when the next shipment is sent out. The first shipment is said to be mailed out by early to mid October.

I remember Valley Schwag back in the day (or a few months ago). Good stuff… hopefully this will last longer.

How does this actually work? So for the monthly fee, you basically get promo items from new startups?
Btw, thanks for dropping by my blog and your comments!

@YC
Yes, that’s exactly how it works. I guess people like the idea of receiving the “unknown”. lol
I think it’s a fun idea.
