The Art of Flipping Websites Lives On

August 6th, 2008 posted by · No Comments

I’ve written before about how I used to flip websites on eBay for a few hundred dollars profit. Since then, I’ve evolved and put my time towards other projects.

Many people still make large sums of cash from flipping websites on eBay, even though the site doesn’t allow it, they rarely take down an auction.

Websites such as SitePoint.com are becoming more popular now for webmasters to cash in, and even the New York Times is taking notice in this latest trend.

In the offline world, it’s flipping houses — online it’s websites.

Products like Build a Niche Store are making the art of flipping websites easier than ever today. You can literally have a website up and running in 10 minutes, with only spending about $9 on a domain name.

A lot of internet marketers felt that once eBay banned digital items, the days of selling websites were finished. Only for the weak ones it was. As I said, eBay isn’t enforcing this new rule at all and you can get away with listing your site in an auction format. If your auction is removed, then there’s always SitePoint.
