Your Laptop Could Be Seized at the U.S. Border

New legislation now makes it perfectly legal for U.S. border agents to seize your laptop computer and other electronic devices, such as cell phones, USB thumb drives or beepers without suspicion. The new rules apply to anyone entering the country, including U.S. citizens. Electronic equipment can be held for inspection for any length of time and data found on your devices can also be shared with outside agencies. The new measures are to prevent terrorism. Basically, leave your laptop at home when you travel from now on.
