ClickBank’s Loophole to Sell Physical Products

May 16th, 2008 posted by · 4 Comments

ClickBank is known for being an affiliate marketplace which sells digital products. I’ve been a member myself for about 4 years, but not until recently was I made aware of a little loophole in their terms of service that enables affiliates to also sell physical products.

If you read the fine print, you should come across this.

You may also offer shipped delivery of printed media (books, CD’s, and DVD’s) as a courtesy to qualified customers (e.g., US and Canada only), provided the shipped media is clearly complementary and not essential to the operation of the originally downloaded digital product.

Of course, their main concern is that you sell digital products only, but you can also supplement that digital sale with a physical product. I had no idea this was possible (and I’m sure many other affiliates were in the dark about this as well).

ClickBank itself is still my preferred affiliate network, among the 15 or so I also belong to. I find their items give me the most conversions and the fact that they’re very strict about what products they let into their marketplace, you know you’re getting something of quality when your buyers make a purchase.
