Build a Niche Store (BANS) Review
After months of reading about Build a Niche Store (BANS), I’ve decided to go ahead and create my own store. I’ve heard many success stories of people making up to $1,000 a day by using BANS and I knew I just had to jump on this wagon! Firstly…
What is BANS?
BANS (Build A Niche Store) is a website builder which enables you to create a network of traffic pulling, money making niche websites focused around the eBay affiliate opportunity.
You simply choose your niche…build and develop your site…promote…make money…rinse and repeat.
That’s the system and that’s exactly what Build A Niche Store enables you to do!
This post ties in great with the one I made last week on the new eBay Partner Network. The reason I hadn’t joined BANS sooner was because I’m not a fan of Commission Junction, but now that eBay has their own affiliate program set up, it makes the entire process worth my time.
Upon signing up for BANS, you’re given exclusive access to the software and user forum. There’s also a complete user manual to help you install the software on your domain. The user forum is something extra special though – it’s completely active with thousands of members sharing tips, tricks and advice on how to make their BANS website better.
Before you set up your domain though, you need to decide on a niche for what your site will be based on. For this I went to eBay Pulse to see what’s hot right now. I also used the SEO Book keyword suggestion tool to research some high traffic keywords and phrases. Once I decided on a topic, I registered a domain name and installed the software. In a matter of 10 minutes I was up and running.
Here’s what you’ll need to open up your very own BANS store.
- eBay Partner Network account (free)
- BANS software ($97.00)
- ClickBank account (free)
- Domain name ($9.99/year)
- Web Hosting (CHEAP!)
eBay Partner Network
As mentioned in a previous post, this is eBay’s affiliate program where you get paid for every person you refer to eBay who makes a purchase. Signing up is quick and easy.
BANS software
Probably the most easiest and user-friendly software I’ve ever used. Oh yeah, it can make you money too! ๐
ClickBank
This isn’t mandatory, but if you want to make money by referring others to BANS, you need ClickBank. Each time someone buys the software using your link, you’ll make $44.00.
Domain Name
Easily register a domain at Tribune Hosting for $9.99/year. Sure you can get those $1.99 domains on other sites, but they aren’t the best choice for numerous reasons, which I won’t get into here.
Web Hosting
I recommend using HostGator for web hosting. Right now until May 1st you can save 20% on hosting by using promo code “SPRING”. Plans start at $4.95/month.
What if I don’t make money or I don’t like BANS?
No problem. Because this product is sold through ClickBank, you can get a complete refund within 8 weeks.
So what’s kind of BANS store did I create?
I present to you… ShoeWinner.com

This sounds like a lot of work, but I guess that is what it takes to make it out here.
So I would have to have a totally differnet daomain andhosting then my current blog? Intersting….
P.S. I subscribed to your RSS so I can keep up with your great suggestions. ๐

Nice work Chris, but wouldn’t a Adsense + Amazon + EBay [+ some other data feed] mash-up site be better for SEO (as well as money making) purposes?

Debo: It actually took me about 10 minutes to get the store setup. It’s very easy to do. Upon payment you simply download the ZIP file with the software, install it and you’re ready to go. There are numerous templates to choose from, but right out of the box, it’s set to make you money. And yes, you would need a separate domain/hosting account. I personally purchased a reseller account from HostGator, so I can host as many sites as I want for only $25/month.
BANS is available to be installed multiple times. You only buy it once and can open up as many stores as you want, which is great!
XRay: AdSense + eBay + data feed = my new BANS store. lol

I can’t wait to see how this does for you! I’ve been interested in it myself, but am skeptical of results.

What are some of the reasons against GoShady ie:
Easily register a domain at Tribune Hosting for $9.99/year. Sure you can get those $1.99 domains on other sites, but they arenโt the best choice for numerous reasons, which I wonโt get into here.
Will add you to my reader and check back in a day or two to see your response.

Bob: I’ve heard stories of GoDaddy mistakenly releasing a domain name back into the public pool and then the original owner is basically screwed. I actually saw it happen to a colleague of mine a couple years ago. He registered a domain and created his business and everything was going fine until one day his domain’s DNS had magically changed to another server. GoDaddy’s response was that it was an error on their part, but there’s nothing they can do. I’d rather not risk that in happening and pay a little more and go with a more reputable registrar.

Hi Chris,
Thanks for your detailed post on the BANS Niche store & it’s ease of set up… great for us not so techy. Definitely worth looking into and that you can install it for more than one site.
The eBay partner network affiliate program is very lucrative in itself for signups. I also use HostGator and have been very happy with their service & support.

So Chris..
How are you doing with your new store?
I know it sounds too easy but there is lot of work involved.
Main thing is to drive traffic to your site. Its not that easy..
Keep us updated.

Nice store you have there Chris!
I too bought BANS and I’m building my first store. I must learn SEO a little more to get visitors tough. For what I have read you should carefully choose a good niche or micro niche for a new online store for BANS. My choise was Disney animated movie classics.
