How To Increase Your RSS Subscribers – Part II
In September I wrote a fancy little article on How To Increase Your RSS Subscribers. I’m just going to post a quick little follow up today of another method I use to increase my RSS subscriptions drastically.
When linking your site in your forum signature, e-mails or commenting on other blogs, instead of linking your site with its normal .com address, use your FeedBurner address.
Let’s say I’m commenting on a site… in the URL field I would put http://feeds.feedburner.com/moneymakingscoop, as opposed to www.moneymakingscoop.com.
The reason being is that the link will take the visitor directly to your RSS feed and they will more than likely end up subscribing. To make sure your feed appears in their browser correctly, log in to your FeedBurner account and under “Optimize”, make sure the “BrowserFriendly” option is active.
Another little bit of information you could use would be to put an e-mail subscription box at the top of your blog, just above the first post (like I did). You can get the HTML code for this from FeedBurner under “Publicize”. You’ll notice a difference right away when you do this, as it’s the first thing visitors see when coming to your site.
That’s all there is to it.
