Sunday Chatter – 10/7
Happy Thanksgiving weekend if you’re in Canada! Tomorrow (the 8th) is actually Thanksgiving, but most people celebrate it and have the big feast today. I’ve always celebrated it on the Sunday – it’s more relaxed because after the big meal you can just relax and not worry about having to get up early and go to work.
This week wasn’t bad as far as marketing was concerned. I managed to break a record with unique visits since I launched this blog a month ago. 589 was the big number on Monday.
My Alexa rating continues to get smaller, which is good (I’m no longer in the millions). Also the number of sites linking in has gone up since last week. Good stuff!
Hmm, what else happened? Oh yeah, fellow blogger Anthony Feint was owned by John Chow for pulling a stunt involving DealDotCom. Darren Rowse gave away $54,000 worth of prizes (because he’s nice) and WidgetBucks launched.
I also made a few tweaks to my blog which you’ve probably noticed. For starters I got a proper header image. It’s a true representation of me, because there’s money floating around in my house all the time. It has its own gravity.
I also added a second sidebar, which entitles me to add more advertising space and I’ve also added a web poll question which will change from time to time. Might as well scroll down and vote! I’ve separated each sidebar accordingly. The first shows website related information (recent entries, categories etc.), while the second sidebar is for widgets, ads and whatever else I feel should go in there.

I felt kind of sorry for Anthony, but he didn’t really help the situation did he.

Chris, I’d really like to drop by your place when I visit the States – some spare change would do nice 😉
