Making Money with the H1N1 Flu Virus

October 30th, 2009 posted by · No Comments

H1N1 NeedleThis may be a sensitive topic for some, but it can be lucrative in you’re in the Internet marketing field. I’m talking about using the H1N1 flu virus (or swine flu) to make a profit.

Allow me to explain. Many people are scarred of contracting the virus and getting sick, or in the worst case scenario, dying. With the long lineups at flu clinics throughout the U.S. and Canada, mixed in with the fear of needles some people have, getting the shot is not an option right now.

I don’t have to tell you that this topic is at the top of almost every newscast right now and has been for months on end. It’s definitely a popular issue, and just like other newsworthy items, can be used to make money from.

Affiliate networks are loaded with health products, such as supplements and vitamins that many people swear by for staying healthy.

This is an example of an ad I was running for about three weeks before it stopped converting:

Scarred of H1N1?
Protect Yourself From Getting Sick
With The
(Product Name) Vitamin!

I ran this on Google AdWords and it paid about $24 per sale until it ran dry.

I’m currently running a similar ad on Facebook, which was more difficult to originally get approved, but it’s now up.

Like I said, it’s a sensitive topic and some may want to stay away from this niche for their own reasons, but it’s very lucrative right now.
