Turn Your Blog into an eCommerce Store
Bloggers looking to sell merchandise through their site, such as eBooks, software or even t-shirts can easily add an eCommerce component to their blog. There are lots of ways to implement this, but my favourite would be the eCommerce plugin for WordPress. It’s simple enough for a beginner to understand and offers a load of features and options. You can setup a shopping cart and set prices for goods, even add the option for shipping and province/state tax. I installed it this week to try it out and I was very impressed. If I ever decide to sell an item through my blog, I’d definitely use this.
The best option available in my opinion is that the plugin works flawlessly with PayPal, so you don’t have to worry about setting up an additional payment processor to handle transactions. The layout of the eCommerce plugin conforms with your existing blog so there’s no conflicting code or design issues.
