Motive Interactive Has E-Mail Problems
June 10th, 2009 posted by Chris Jacobson · 1 Comment
This morning I opened up my e-mail to find 114 messages from Motive Interactive. Yes, 114 of them! lol
All of them were addressing publishers who had their accounts disabled due to inactivity (mine included). The scary part was, the “to” field in each e-mail listed hundreds of personal names and e-mail addresses. This is not only a breach in privacy, but it opens up all of those recipients to potential spam.
Take a look at the screenshot below (click to enlarge).
Motive Interactive hasn’t sent a follow-up e-mail yet explaining the glitch, but I expect they will address this issue shortly.

The email that went out this morning to non active affiliates of motive was a mistake caused by human error. We have been addressing this issue in-house
