Twitter in the Classroom
A history professor in Texas is trying out an experiment in her classroom using Twitter. Students follow along during the class discussion using their laptops and cell phones. Hashtags are used to differentiate the tweets and make things easier to follow. I wish they would have done this when I was in school.
Bing — the New Google?
Microsoft has been bombarding the airwaves this week with commercials for its new search engine, Bing.com. Apparently it’s supposed to rival Google, but I’ve lost all faith in anything Microsoft-related after that failed MP3 player they came out with to rival the iPod called “Zune.” How embarrassing. The fact is that no amount of marketing or money can change the fact that Google has become embedded into society as “the” search engine to go to. Google is way too powerful and branded at this point to have Microsoft come along and take them on.
Wotogepa Affiliate and Twitter Contest
Jerimiah Cooper has launched an affiliate and Twitter contest in partnership with Wotogepa, a new affiliate network run by Will from PPC-Coach. Up for grabs are several prizes, including multiple iPod Touches, a Visa gift card, Ninendo Wii and a bunch of other good stuff. Entering the contest is very simple, even if you’re not a super affiliate. Simply make a blog post mentioning the content or send out a tweet on Twitter. You have until June 30 to enter. Good luck!

Would love to see Bing get some traction in the search space. Would level the playing field a bit. Plus they are sending a lot of traffic my way.

Yeah, I hope Bing will become healthy competition for Google! Finally one that can do it… Go Bing!
