Sunday Chatter – 5/24
Twitter’s New Superstar is a Kittah
Forget about Ashton Kutcher, there’s someone becoming increasingly more popular on Twitter, and it’s a cat! Sockington has been gaining momentum lately with over 500,000 followers. There’s something fascinating about following a cat to see what he’s up to everyday. Okay, I know it’s not really a cat, but it’s fun to pretend. Sockington even has his own website. Known for typing tweets all in capitals, Sockington posts random bits of information throughout the day, such as when he’s hungry, when he licks himself and what he happens to be doing for entertainment; even if it includes going for a cat nap. Not sure how his little mitts can strike keys on the keyboard, but he gets the job done. Follow @sockington on Twitter. Seriously.
Do You Monetize Your Blog’s Footer?
You probably don’t pay much attention to what your blog’s footer looks like, but according to Zac Johnson, you can monetize it in several different ways. Zac suggests either upselling your visitor in your footer, including some additional points of interest on your blog that the visitor may have missed, and to keep it fun. If you need a bit of help, consult this list of 48 blog post footer designs.
100 REALLY Creative Business Cards
I don’t know about you, but my business cards suck compared to the ones listed on this website. I had about 150 made at Staples for $20 on plain white card stock. Ugh. All of these are very creative and will definitely make you stand out from your competitors or help give you that extra push to land the client you’ve been trying to score for weeks. While Staples probably doesn’t print or cut any of these unique shapes, you can find a printer and designer in your local area who does. Just for kicks, I called around my town and found that it’s not too expensive to have something like those cards made. Heck, it’s better than those offers you see everywhere online for free business cards.

Monetizing the footer? I never visit a blog’s footer. I don’t even pay attention to my blogs own footer. But then again, I should start.
