Get a Free Blog Header Designed

Why pay a designer hundreds of dollars when you can get a professional header done for free? Jason from DatMoney.com will create a blog header for you free of charge! He’s done some amazing work in the past, so go and check out his examples if you wish. The only thing Jason asks in return is a link in your footer. Sounds fair, right? Read the post and then send in your request. I may end up requesting a header myself, once I decide on the look I want. 🙂

Hire a Professional Freelancer

Depending on what kind of work you need done in your business, whether it be graphics, programming or something very advanced, there are literally hundreds of qualified people out there willing to work for you. With the economy the way it is, there have never been more talented people looking for work. I recently hired a marketing assistant from Elance.com who has helped me complete a few projects. The directory of people for hire is overwhelming, but the site provides a ranking system to help you sort through the crowd. If you’re looking to hire someone, consider a freelancer before a big company. It’s good karma.

Twittering During Surgery?

A U.S. surgeon has embraced social media in the operating room. During a surgery, he has his staff tweet the progress for the Twitter nation to see. It’s a good thing the staff is doing it and not the surgeon himself. The whole idea is still hard to grasp though. Watch the CNN story below.

I love hiring someone else to do work for me.

Thanks to Jay for providing the blog headers. May have to steal one for myself (in exchange for a link, of course)!

There are a lot of great freelancers out there, too. Now more than ever, talented artists, marketers, and developers and taking the time to improve their portfolios and take on independent projects.

As far as the surgeon…I wonder if patients have to sign a consent form. I wouldn’t want people to publicly read about my surgery…what if something went wrong?!

Dina, you would have been famous if your oral surgeon Twittered during your wisdom teeth procedure for fans of ML. 😛

You know, I’m ok with not having my 15 minutes based on being knocked out in the dentist’s office. I’ll have to find another way…
