ShoeMoney Doesn’t Put Kids First

I had planned on donating $2,300 in Jeremy Schoemaker’s name to the Omaha Children’s Hospital this week. ShoeMoney didn’t take any action and therefore the donation will be made in my name. The hospital says, “You’d think he would like a donation made in his own name in his own state.” I would have thought so too!

An insider at WOWT (one of the TV stations who was monitoring the contest) writes in an e-mail, “I don’t know who ShoeMoney is, but why he wouldn’t do a few clicks for a donation in his name is beyond me.”

We all know you can use Google Trends to get information on the hottest trends and keyword ideas, but now there’s another method you can use. JohnCow.com shows you how to use the Google Insights tool to explore even more keyword gold. This is a very good tip, and is one that even I didn’t know about until reading this post.

What’s Hot Right Now? Use Twitter

Finding the hottest topics that are being discussed on the Internet is crucial in market research if you’re an Internet marketer. Of course, as mentioned above, there’s Google Trends, but you can also see what’s hot on Twitter right now by using Twitscoop. Twitscoop tags the most common words being Tweeted and highlights them by size to show their relevance. I use this tool on a daily basis to see what’s hot and then immediately go to my afiliate network and start promoting offers relating to that topic. This is a great method for quick cash, but because these topics don’t stay hot for long, you’re looking at maybe one or two days of income from such offers, so keep promoting newer offers.
