If you’re a member of the various social networks out there, such as Twitter, Digg, Facebook, Sphinn etc.,  then you know how much time they can take away from your work if you get sidetracked. ProBlogger has outlined 5 ways to deal with the overwhelming feeling of having to participate in such networks, and how to effectively manage your time while doing so.

Google Adds ‘Canned Responses’ to Gmail

If you tend to get a lot of e-mail and you find that you’re constantly answering the same question, or providing the same bit of information over and over, Gmail just made your life easier. This week, Google introduced “Canned Responses” in their popular e-mail service.

Canned Responses is a feature you can turn on in Google Labs and customize it however you like. It will then allow you to configure which lines you want to send out when you reply to a message.

Guy Kawasaki’s 26 Hours at Sea and Longest Blog Post Ever

Popular author, speaker and blogger, Guy Kawasaki, recently spent 26 hours on the USS John C. Stennis aircraft carrier. He was an invited guest who hopped on board to tour around the facilities and see how the men and women of the Navy spend their time. He’s blogged about his experience, which include dozens of photos, as well as videos. It may also be the longest blog post I’ve ever read.
