I’m sure by now you’ve heard about how Brian Campbell (who?) is attempting to make $10,000 in 37 days on Facebook. He won’t reveal how he’ll be doing it until the 37 days are over. By then, whatever method he’s using will be completed saturated by thousands of people trying to do the same thing.
Brian has created a Facebook group to explain the entire experiment and also has videos up which really don’t tell you anything. It’s a bunch of hype so far and as a fellow internet marketer, I understand where he’s coming from by just creating hype. Brian also released an MP3 recording yesterday saying that what he’s about to do will “change the face of internet marketing forever”. Why does that line sound familiar? Maybe because every internet marketer on the planet has used it at some point.
This whole project sounds really sketchy to me for many reasons.
1) Brian says he’s been in the internet marketing business for several years and has made over $2 million, yet nobody I asked has even heard of the guy.
2) If he was really worth something, would he be shooting his introduction videos in a shabby looking apartment
My connection at Facebook tells me today that they are monitoring Brian’s group and also logging his account usage.
Basically the point of this post is to make you aware of the experiment Brian is doing on Facebook and to make your own decision on whether to join or not. You can’t help be curious though, because in only a few days he has managed to gain over 1000 members to his group. I’ll be monitoring this very closely and provide an update when I get more information on the whole project. But while you’re at it, why not add me to Facebook.
