A few readers have e-mailed me over the last couple weeks to ask where I got the Twitter, Facebook and YouTube icons I have in the upper right corner of the site. The short answer to that question is: IconArchive.com
I first discovered this site when I uploaded my second blog theme just over a year ago. It’s a great resource for free icons featuring almost anything you can think of. They don’t just offer social media buttons, but other icons as well, which are categorized into dozens of sections. The cool thing about it is that all of the content is user-generated, and new additions are being added on almost a daily basis.
I chose the three particular icons I use to make my social media profiles stand out a bit more. As most marketers know, brand recognition is what you want to aim for, and most visitors are aware of those three logos.
At the time I wrote this post, these are some of the newly added icons to the site:
The great thing about these icons is that they are all available in PNG format, which makes them transparent. Therefore, you can use them on any color of background you have. They also come in various sizes, which you can also shrink or enlarge yourself in Photoshop.
