Google AdSense Developing ‘Category Filtering’ Feature
Welcome back to MoneyMakingScoop.com!
Google announced on its blog this week that it will begin testing a new feature in AdSense called Category Filtering, which allows publishers to block out ads from being shown that fit into specific categories.
Here’s a screenshot of what it will look like:
Category filtering will give publishers the ability to block ads that fall into specific categories such as dating, religion, and politics. Regardless of how ads are targeted, they’ll be filtered if they’re within one of the selected categories. We’ll also show the percentage of recent revenue that ads in each category generate, so publishers can predict how filtering selections will impact their revenue.
The feature is still in beta and only available to a small group of testers.
It looks very useful and will most likely be very helpful to those publishers who sometimes get irrelevent ads appearing on their site.

This is a tool many publishers will appreciate. I know that when I was Advertising for one of my eCommerce sites, not only was the cost high, but they had been placed in sites not relevant. Good to know
