Docstoc – Free Document Templates and Hosting

January 9th, 2009 posted by · 1 Comment

While searching for free business templates and legal forms a while ago, I came across a site called Since then, I’ve been a big fan of their service and use their documents on almost a daily basis. Anything from organizing my day, to keeping track of blog post ideas, Docstoc delivers.

What is Docstoc?

Docstoc is the premier online community to find and share professional documents. Docstoc provides the platform for users and businesses to upload and share their documents with all the world, and serves as a vast repository of documents in variety of categories including legal, business, financial, technology, educational, and creative. All documents on docstoc can be easily searched, previewed and downloaded for free.

Not only can you download documents for free, but you can also upload your own to promote your business. Uploading a document, such as a template you’ve made, can hold your website URL in the footer for example. Every time someone uses your doc, they’ll see your URL and BAM, instant traffic!

Another cool feature is the option to embed a form in a blog post or your website. Each document comes with the embedding option, where you can also set the width and height to best suit your requirements.

Here’s an example of an embedded document that helps you keep track of your finances.

Think of what else you could do with Docstoc — perhaps eBook uploads? Yep! Uploading and embedding an eBook you’ve written is a great way to get it out in the open for the public to see. If you haven’t tried Docstoc yet, go ahead and check it out.

This was not a paid review, but the personal opinion of Chris Jacobson.
